I've posted some more of my boxes - a few with toys inside. I have a few others I will try to get posted today. Been teaching at Michaels so I've been very busy but the ideas keep coming so keep checking back. Thanks for looking and Happy Mother's Day!
If you're here, I assume you've seen my new Sweet Tooth Bakery, featuring an delicious looking clay charm by the wonderful artist and my friend Amber Dawn. Check out her blog when you have a minute and take in her amazing work. Stay tuned for more creations soon!
So I've just posted some heart boxes, suitable for Valentine's Day gifts (or suitable AS Valentine's Day gifts). Please take a look and tell me what you think... I just love them!
Also, consider this a news flash... I will be teaching scrapbooking at the Michaels store in Queens (the one on Northern Blvd) beginning in February. Contact me for details or keep checking back - as soon as I know the dates I will post them here. XXOO - L
Thank you all for a great holiday season! I've edited my site today and installed a little gallery link. Please keep checking back as now that the holidays are over, I have a lot of other ideas I just haven't had the time to work on yet, including some Valentine's Day boxes. And remember, if you have a special order for that special person, please contact me at email@example.com.
My friend Bob asked me to make this special order heart box for his wife Maxine for their anniversary last month. He just dropped me a note telling me how much she loved it!
My friend Eric sent me this photo and message today:
I love my crafted boxes! They make my holidays special. They are the perfect gift! Love Eric
Some people ask me what gifts they should put in their "Crafted Box"... so I thought I'd start a thread: 101 things to put in a "Crafted Box".
Join in with your ideas!
1. money - cash, coins (I wonder how many silver dollars would fit in a 4" round?) or a check - kind of a nice way to give a monetary gift.
2. gift certificate or gift card - a Barnes and Noble one can go in a Library box; a Home Depot one can go in a house box.
3. tickets - movie tickets or theater tickets in a Theater box
5. a beautiful scarf
6. winter mittens
7. winter hat
8. an issue of a magazine with a gift subscription to it
9. some Christmas CDs
10. a Nano ipod
Wishing everyone a wonderful day filled with happiness and love. As you can see, I've been busy making my Christmas boxes. Please take a look and let me know if you see anything you like ;)
Hi everyone. I've been so excited to hear from all of you regarding my boxes and I wanted to let you know there are more to come. First of all, I am just finishing up a 2nd Haunted House - "The Raven" - which will be up on the site by the end of this week. It's a little smaller than the one on the homepage and has the text of Edgar Allan Poe's poem on it - very cool, I think.
Then there's Christmas and Hanukkah, my specialties, so stay tuned for these and maybe a few Kwanzaa boxes too.
I'll be posting pictures of some special orders I've been making these last few weeks, so please check back from time to time. I have tons of ideas, but don't wait for me, send me your ideas so I can make a custom order for you. Have a great week and remember - the perfect gift needs the perfect box!
